Simon Crofts
Simon is retired from a lifetime of accounts preparation and advice for small business entities, and since 2003 has taken a keen interest in the mechanical restoration of his 1936 Rolls Royce 20/25 and from 2011 his 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II. He grew up in Surrey later migrating down to Hampshire and transferred over to vintage cars after some 30 years of yacht sailing on the south coast and further afield and much dinghy sailing before that.
He brings to us a wealth of knowledge on the mechanical challenges these cars have thrown up and occasionally issues with more modern cars.
He had obtained details of three family Rolls-Royce cars of an even earlier vintage but sadly they have not been traceable and mostly thought lost during WWII.
As treasurer he keeps a close eye on our finances and updates our committee on a regular basis.
